Epilepsy
Speaker: Dr Geraint Fuller
To have an overview of the management of epilepsy in primary care.
1. To discuss the diagnosis of epilepsy and review non-epileptic seizures
2. To review the management of emergencies like status epilepticus
3. To discuss when and how to refer for diagnosis including any pre-referral tests, the point of contact for pt and GP (epilepsy CNS)
4. To discuss the management of women with epilepsy who are of child-bearing age.
About the speaker
Dr Geraint Fuller
Consultant Neurologist
Dr Fuller has worked as a Consultant Neurologist in Gloucester since 1994. He has an interest in general neurology and neurological education. He has been Chair of the Specialty Advisory Committee for Neurology that oversees neurological training in the UK, and was President of the Association of British Neurologists from 2013 to 2015.
