Who We Are

Sadaf Haque
Sadaf Haque, GGPET Chair

Having spent most of my life in London latterly as an Oncology Registrar, I retrained and qualified as a GP in Gloucestershire in 2010.

I was delighted to join the GGPET Committee as Secretary in August 2011 and took over as GGPET Chair in July 2013.

I work as a Salaried GP in Quedgeley and as a Macmillan GP, Clinical Lead Gloucestershire CCG. I'm also a GP Champion for the 100,000 Genomics Project, working with the West of England Genomics Medicine Centre in Bristol. I sit on the National Advisory Committee for the NHS Breast Cancer Screening Programme and I represent Gloucestershire on the RCGP Severn Faculty Board.

I am a part-time Salaried GP working at Locking Hill Surgery, Stroud. I joined the GGPET Committee in June 2012 and have been Vice-Chair since July 2013.

Olesya Atkinson
Olesya Atkinson, GP Partner at Berkley Place Surgery

I relocated to the beautiful Gloucestershire from Nottingham in 2012 where I worked as a Salaried GP and Clinical Lecturer at the University of Nottingham. I found it to be an excellent way to get to know the local consultants and GP colleagues as well as giving me access to high quality education.

I was GGPET Secretary from 2013-2015 and now remain as a Committee member.

I work as a GP Partner at Berkeley Place Surgery in Cheltenham and I am also one of the Training Programme Directors (TPD) for Gloucestershire VTS.

Salaried GP working at Hadwen Medical Practice, GGPET Committee member since joining in May 2009, with a particular interest in womens health.


Michael Kilshaw
Michael Kilshaw

I work as a Salaried GP in Winchcombe and am a GPwSI in Musculoskeletal Medicine working for the MSKCAT service.

I have a particular interest in medical education and am a locum Training Programme Director for the Gloucestershire GPVTS.

I am the Lead GP at Gloucestershire Academy for the University of Bristol Medical School. I joined the GGPET Committee in 2014.

I am a Sessional GP in Gloucestershire, previously a partner and GP trainer in Gloucester. With a continued interest in GP education, I joined the GGPET Committee in September 2015.


Alex Ferguson-Wood
Alex Ferguson-Wood

Previously a GP partner in Gloucester and specialising in Women's health I now work as a Locum in Cheltenham and the surrounding areas.

I have a particular interest in women's health and palliative care.

I am excited to be joining GGPET because it provides accessible and relevant education which is so vital in the increasingly complex world of medicine.

Aisha Sohail

After graduating from Guy's, King's and St Thomas' Medical School I completed my foundation year in Bristol and thereafter I have been working in Gloucestershire. I began GP training as a less than full time trainee in 2010 and am now a ST3 GP registrar working at Cheltenham Road Surgery, in post until August 2017.

I am passionate about medical education and was privileged to have been invited to join the GGPET Committee in August 2015 when I became the Gloucestershire GP Education Scholar. I am thrilled to be part of the Committee and look forward to being involved and gaining further insight into GP education.

Rachel Gadsden
Rachel Gadsden, PGME & Gloucestershire GP Education Administrator

Spent 2015 working in the Postgraduate Medical Education Department as Administrative Apprentice undertaking various administrative tasks for courses.

I am now employed in the department and will be supporting the GGPET Committee to formulate the GP Education Programme, ensure GPs are regularly informed of programme and to book online through the website. I will also be doing GGPET memberships and AGM administration.


Jackie Pinkerton
Jackie Pinkerton, GGPET Book-keeper

I took over as Book-keeper from Kate Bartlett in April 2012. I manage the accounts, liaising with Rachel Gadsden in raising and settling invoices, report to the Treasurer Dr Stuart Nelson, and present the year's accounts to Hazlewoods.

Previously I worked as Finance Manager for Sixways Clinic for 9 1/2 years.
